Cloud advantages for Virtual Server customers
By launching the new infrastructure, 1&1 makes many of the cloud platform’s advantages available to a wider range of customers. These benefits include market leading, high-quality components and dedicated resources, based on VMware’s virtualization technology, enabling customers to use the chosen performance whenever they want. Modern Intel Xeon processors and 100 percent SSD SAN storage, which are more reliable in protecting the system against downtime and provide significantly faster performance than traditional systems, are also included. Moreover, the new 1&1 Virtual Server Cloud features Plesk with the instances from M to XXL for an easy server administration.
Security is one of the most important aspects of the 1&1 Virtual Server Cloud and has been a primary focus with this new offering. To help protect their infrastructure, customers are offered an array of features including the ability to define individual firewall rules to grant dedicated access to their server.
Ease of use is another key aspect that has been ported over to the new portfolio. Customers are able to control their server through the well-structured cloud panel which offers an intuitive and easy to use user interface.
